Terms of Use
These Terms govern Grandeur at https://grandeurgame.onrender.com. Grandeur is an independent game project operated under the name Texemplar Interactive in South Carolina, United States. Contact: texemplarinteractive@gmail.com.
1. Your agreement and eligibility
By selecting the play or account-creation button identified in the agreement notice, you agree to these Terms, including the Responsible Use and Community and Fair Play sections below. If you do not agree, do not play. Grandeur is for players aged 13 and older. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, have your parent or legal guardian review these Terms and obtain their permission where required by applicable law.
The Privacy Policy and Cookies and Browser Storage notice explain how information is used to provide Grandeur. Where applicable law requires separate consent for a particular use of information or optional tracking, agreeing to these Terms does not replace that consent.
2. Guest play and accounts
You may play as a guest. An account allows the game to save supported progress and preferences. Guest progress is not guaranteed to carry over to an account or another session. Account usernames and current Environmental Points can appear on the public leaderboard. Multiplayer shares your displayed name and virtual location and vehicle state with other connected players.
Choose a username suitable for public display and keep your password private. Use a unique password and log out on shared devices. Accounts currently have no email address attached and no password-reset feature. Lost credentials can make recovery impossible. Do not access another person's account or give false information when requesting account support.
3. Permission to play and third-party rights
Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, non-exclusive permission to access and play Grandeur for personal, lawful use. This permission does not transfer ownership of the game or its original content. Maps, geographic data, libraries and other third-party material remain subject to their own rights and licences, described in Credits and Third-Party Licences. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights those licences independently give you. Do not remove required attribution or copyright notices.
4. Community and Fair Play
Respect other players
Use a public username that does not threaten, harass, promote hate, impersonate another person or organization, or contain sexual content. Do not target someone with repeated unwanted behavior or use your name or movement to harass them. Do not publish another person's private information. Avoid putting your own real name, contact details or other sensitive information in your username.
Play fairly
Earn rewards through the intended gameplay. Do not falsify points, distances, claims or multiplayer state; automate reward farming; exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage; or bypass account, network or capacity protections. Normal in-game features such as teleporting are allowed subject to their stated reward rules. If you find an exploit, stop using it and report it.
Protect accounts and the service
Do not guess or steal credentials, access data without permission, distribute malicious code, overload endpoints or disrupt another player's connection. Report security concerns privately to texemplarinteractive@gmail.com with enough detail to understand the issue, without including passwords or other players' private data.
Report suspected vulnerabilities privately rather than accessing another person's information or disrupting the service.
Reports and review
For a player report, email texemplarinteractive@gmail.com with the displayed name, approximate time and time zone, what happened, and relevant screenshots if available. Avoid unnecessary personal information. Grandeur currently has no in-game text or voice chat and no in-game reporting tool. You can leave multiplayer if an interaction makes you uncomfortable.
Depending on the seriousness and repetition, we may correct rewards, restrict access or suspend an account. To request a review, reply through the same support address and explain what you believe happened. External communities, including linked Discord spaces, may have additional rules.
5. Points and environmental themes
Grandeur Points and Environmental Points are virtual game counters. They have no monetary value, cannot currently be redeemed for money or donations, and create no payment or donation obligation. Virtual litter collection does not remove real-world litter. Future cosmetics, features, donation programs or partnerships are ideas, not guaranteed benefits. Scores, reward rules and progress may be corrected, rebalanced or reset during development.
Links to independent environmental organizations take you to their services. Any donation is directly between you and that organization, under its terms and privacy practices. A link does not establish a partnership, endorsement or responsibility for that organization's activities.
6. Responsible Use
In the real world: whether walking, cycling, traveling by train or driving, obey local laws, signs, signals, speed limits and access restrictions. Stay alert, use permitted routes and designated crossings, and respect barriers and platform safety markings. Never play while operating a vehicle or moving through traffic, crossings or other hazards. Always wear a properly fitted helmet when cycling. At night or in poor visibility, use working white front and red rear lights, visible reflectors and reflective clothing or accessories. Grandeur does not endorse reckless or distracted travel, trespassing or other harmful or unlawful conduct.
Grandeur presents a world inspired by ours: this is entertainment, not navigation or real-world travel training. Roads, lane markings, paths, cycleways, railways, stations, buildings, terrain, movement, vehicle behavior and conditions are simplified and may be inaccurate or out of date. Do not use the Game to judge real-world routes, access or safety. Respect private property, wildlife and protected areas.
7. Availability and changes
Grandeur is currently a free early-access game. Bugs, interruptions, capacity limits and lost progress can occur. Features, accounts, multiplayer access and the service itself may change, pause or end. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, accurate maps or preservation of every saved record. The game depends on browsers, networks and external providers that can also fail or change. These limitations do not remove any rights or remedies you have under applicable law.
8. Restrictions and ending use
Subject to applicable law, we may correct unfair rewards, restrict usernames or multiplayer access, or suspend accounts to address rule violations, abuse or security risks. You may contact us to request a review. You can stop playing at any time; account-deletion instructions are in Support and Account Deletion. A restriction does not remove applicable privacy rights.
9. Your legal rights and questions
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or waives mandatory consumer rights. Contact texemplarinteractive@gmail.com with questions or disputes so we can try to resolve them. You retain any right to complain to an authority or use a court or other remedy available under applicable law.
10. Updates
The date and version above identify these Terms. We may revise them as the game changes. An updated agreement presented for acceptance applies to future use; it does not take away rights that already arose under applicable law. Keep a copy of the version you accept.
