Cookies and Browser Storage
This notice explains what Grandeur stores on your browser and how you can manage it. Texemplar Interactive uses this information for login, game preferences and first-party usage statistics.
Cookies and local settings
A login cookie is sent automatically to Grandeur with relevant requests. LocalStorage settings stay on that browser unless you clear them. Authentication tokens are protected from ordinary page scripts by an HttpOnly cookie; your password is not saved in localStorage.
Grandeur uses first-party usage statistics described below. It does not use advertising cookies, third-party audience-analytics services or cross-site advertising identifiers. Ordinary browser caching may also keep game files and map tiles.

First-party usage statistics
Each page load creates a new random identifier for usage reports. In your browser, it stays in the current page's memory and is not saved in a cookie or localStorage. Reports include page-start and report information and cumulative virtual distances for walking, bicycle, train and automobile modes. The game attempts reports on opening, about once a minute, and when the page is hidden or closed. There is no new persistent guest browser identifier.
Guest page sessions are counted rather than unique people. If you are signed in, the existing login session can associate daily activity and login information with your account for distinct-account counts. The Privacy Policy explains temporary server records, aggregate statistics and retention. These metrics are separate from the browser preferences listed above and from in-page Terms agreement.
Your choices
You can play solo as a guest without creating an account or setting an account login cookie. The Game still loads online resources, includes guest visits in its first-party usage statistics, and may remember browser preferences.
Your browser lets you block or clear cookies and site data for Grandeur. Clearing data can sign you out and reset local preferences. Game preferences may be written again when you use the relevant features. Browser clearing does not delete server accounts or progress. Blocking or clearing cookies and local settings does not by itself stop the in-page usage reports. If you prevent storage, some features may not work or may remember choices only until the page closes.
Agreement to the Terms is separate from consent to particular information processing. Reading a notice or accepting the Terms is not blanket consent to advertising or tracking. The controls and exemptions that apply to storage depend on its purpose and the law that applies.
Agreement to the Terms is handled for the current page visit and is not saved in cookies or localStorage. Reloading the page resets this in-page agreement state. Account login sessions and other saved settings are separate.
Map providers and other sites
OpenFreeMap, OpenStreetMap and AWS-hosted terrain services receive network requests when Grandeur loads map and elevation data. Their receipt of an IP address and request information is described in the Privacy Policy. External Discord, Google Forms feedback and charity websites have their own privacy and storage practices when you visit them.
